I have a 13yr old lab mix that I have taken to Belle Plaine Animal Hospital since she was a puppy. Chancity gets a little nervous when she goes to the Vet but they are always very gentle to her and always check in to see how she is doing if she has been sick.
I took my 13 year old yorkie poo here for the first time today. She had recently had some trauma after being attacked by a larger dog. She has high anxiety when going to the doctor or groomer and with her recent trauma I was nervous to bring her in. To my surprise BPAH was able to get her in the next day so i gave it a shot. I have never ever seen my dog as comfortable and relaxed at the vet as she was today. The staff was so sweet and gentle and gave her yummy treats. I am so glad I brought her to BPAH and I will definitely be using them as her primary from now on.
This vet clinic is passionate about the care and we’ll being of their clients. At our last regular schedule shot and vet check, they recommended checking the current levels of vaccine in our corgi’s blood rather than unnecessarily medicating the dog. It turned out she didn’t need one of the vaccines and we would have over vaccinated. They are truly concerned about the whole health of your fur family members.
Dr. Ricci and her staff are some of the most compassionate people you will ever meet. She stays on top of the latest options/technologies for all your pets needs.
The Belle Plaine Animal hospital took care of our Sheltie mix dog -Lassie- for 13 years. Dr. Ricci and her staff were wonderful with her. Lassie loved to go to the “Dr.” Also upon her very sad passing-they were so helpful. They even provided us with her paw prints as a reminder of her. Now our collie mix shelter dog goes to see Dr. Ricci and staff and they are so kind and gentle to this precious little one. We are so thankful to have such a caring place to take our animals.
We have been going to Belle Plaine Animal Hospital since we moved to the cities 7 years. We had 1 very shy cat at the time and they were so good w/him. Then we acquired a rescue puppy & they were all very awesome w/our little puppy. She had come from a terrible place and was so fragile. Dr. Ricci suggested what food would be best for her, & how we could protect her from any further health issues. Then we babysat a cat that the owner forgot to come back to pick up, & they were fabulous helping us figure out what we needed to do to keep this cat as healthy as possible. They are very knowledgeable and caring people. Every time we are there we learn new things about our pets. Since we live more than 40 miles away they have always been so flexible w/our appointments. I would be hard pressed to find a more caring and knowledgeable clinic to go to. I would Highly Recommend this Clinic to anyone who needs an Animal Hospital/Clinic for their pets.
